When entering an MRI room, ferromagnetic items like coins, keys and even jewelry can cause a “Projectile Effect” which represents a great risk to the patient, the staff and even the MRI system itself. With this in mind, CEIA has developed the MSD technology which detects even the smallest ferromagnetic items in patients before entering the MRI room, thus eliminating any potential threat to the safety of everyone inside the facility.

 

CEIA offers two models for this technology:

 

  • MSDW: The MSDW is a Wall-Mounted Ferromagnetic Detector that can operate in any location inside zones I, II or II of the MRI facility. It has a very compact design, it’s extremely durable and reliable and offers a high and uniform sensitivity to ferromagnetic items over the entire height of the person.

 

  • MSDH: The MSDH is a Portable Ferromagnetic Detector that can operate in any location inside zones I, II or II of the MRI facility. It has a 26-hour battery life with a one-piece and lightweight design, it’s extremely durable and reliable and offers a high and uniform sensitivity to ferromagnetic items over the entire height of the person.
